The Color of Time

One night when Charles and I were having dinner at Mitchell's Fish Market in Connecticut, our waiter had a great idea. He said, "I've always wanted someone to take a really great shot of the Hermes statue at Grand Central."

Of course, I accepted his challenge.

While I think my Canon 7D would do this shot much more justice, my PowerShot did quite an amazing job, considering the cloudiness of the day.

I mean, look at the color of the clock! I still get amazed how a little PowerShot can capture such intense colors in an image. The gold is vibrant, the marble stunning. Thank you 18.1 megapixels.

Hermes would be proud. I know I am.

The Flag Dance...

Hi peeps! I know I haven't posted in a while, but July was quite a crazy month. Needless to say, I missed my little orange PowerShot. And I'm sure the feeling was mutual.

But while walking to the 1 Train yesterday, I saw these three flags dancing in the wind. It was quite lovely, so I quickly snapped their picture and then boarded the train.

It's the only shot I took, but I think it turned out quite well. And my PowerShot captured such vivid color from the flags. Look at that red!

Alas, I plan on flexing my photography muscles a little more this month, so y'all be on the lookout for some new posts.
